Hi everyone:
Hope you had a safe and happy holiday over the
fourth. Around here it was hot but that's normal
for Arkansas in July. I was reminding my husband
only a few days ago that he thought we could survive
here without air conditioning when we moved here
from Northern Michigan where we didn't have that
luxury. Now I sit here in my rocker with the air
blowing on me and wonder how people survived before
it was invented. I also think of the people who
have to work out in it. I'm thankful to have people
who are willing to do that and have concerns for the
elderly and sick. I'm rattling away aren't I.
I would have written sooner but there really isn't a
lot to report in the way of changes at Renae's Room.
Also, my emotions were too raw earlier and I would
have ended up writing volumes over the experience of
upgrading my computer and I still may.
I upgraded my old Pentium to a Pentium 2. It was
used and the guy gave me a 30 day written warranty.
It didn't work. When I tried to return it he claimed
I had torn it up. The problem was that I didn't want
to lose all the info off my old computer so I switched
hard drives. He specifically told me I could do that
before I bought it. What he didn't tell me was that
when making the change I would have to wipe the old
hard drive clean and totally reinstall everything.
To add to the problem my CD-RW went on the fritz and
would only record parts of what I had told it to
record. I was able to maintain a lot of my files but
I also lost a lot of stuff in the process and have
been busy trying to bring my system back up to speed.

This month I want to welcome three new font designers
to Renae's Room: Kat from Kat's Fun Fonts, House of
Lime, and Darrian. Some of their fonts have already
been posted and others will be coming. Recent font
additions:
I've been trying to catch up on the mountain of jokes
that you guys have been sending me. Sorry it's taking
so long to post them. But just today I added more to
both the pet jokes and the school jokes. Hope you
enjoy them and keep 'em coming.

I'll try and get some new school related fonts up within
the next few days.
