Hi Everyone!

A week ago my church's teenage class (which by accident happens to be all boys) had an overnight social. In planning this party they asked me, an "old" woman, to be one of their chaperones. It turned out to be an enjoyable night. There were three adults present (myself and two men) and another adult made a brief appearance during the night. Normally I would feel out of place at a male party but, as it turned out, two of the boys brought their girlfriends. OK, so I'm a bit old-fashioned and wondered why their parents allowed them to attend an overnight boy's party, but for the sake of these girls I was glad to be there. You never know what's going to happen -- especially with a group of teenage boys, and it's a good idea to have a woman present when girls are there. As it turned out, all went well and we had a good time. On Sunday I slept most of the day and all that night. Monday morning I woke up feeling hung-over and didn't really revive until late Monday afternoon. Why was I so tired? Here's a hint: my son is older than one of the chaperones.

By my calculations approximately 2 weeks have passed since I last wrote a newsletter so it's about time to sharpen my pencil and write another one. My husband took a week of his vacation and I was "nice" enough to keep him busy. We began rearranging the house, which meant moving heavy furniture, and he threw his back out. He was able to do his disk jockey thing this weekend and plans to go to his regular job tomorrow. Hopefully his back will get better and I'll manage to finish the house this coming week without messing up my own back. Together we did get a few things done at Renae's Room and some are clearly visible. If you haven't been by for a visit in a few days you'll find there's been a major change in the advertising. Also, the following fonts have been added:

Hollow: Agent Orange, Mad Scientist, Air, Back to 1982, Bean Town, Beyond Control, Bio Disc, Bite Me, Biting My Nails, Blaster, Blind Melon, Bubble Gums, Burlesque, Casper Comics
Animals: Elefont, Three Little Pink Pigs
Careers: Skull Capz
Entertainment: Bean Town
Weather: Quake & Shake, Sonneschein, Donnerwetter, Sassy's Sonne
Veteran's Day: Moo Cow SW (Yes, this fits nicely in this category!)
Vending Machines: Moo Cow SW
Display: Fack
Munchies: Mariposa

Most of the fonts in the Careers section have been pulled. I realized that a double exposure in this category would quickly get out of hand. Yes, if you're teaching social studies, it would be nice to have things sorted by the occupation but there simply isn't room to continue to do this. The fonts will still be offered, but you'll find them in different sections. An example of this would be the Moo Cow SW font. It is still available in the Munchies and Veteran's Day sections but not available as a Career/Armed Forces font as well.

I'm still shopping for a different host and hope to make the move soon. When this happens there'll be lots more to add to Renae's Room.

I think that's about it. Have a nice two weeks!

Renae
