Hi everyone:
MacTavish's little boy was being questioned by the teacher during an
arithmetic lesson. "If you have five pounds," said the teacher, "and
I ask you for a loan of three pounds, how many pounds will you have
left?"
"Five," said young MacTavish firmly.
"Five?" the teacher asked. "How do you make it five?"
"Well," replied young MacTavish "just because you asked for a loan of
three pounds, doesn't mean you're gonna get it."

Last Sunday my son, who lives about three hours from here, came for a
brief visit. He's been living in Texas and pastoring a small church
in northeast Louisiana. He just moved into a house about 3 blocks
from his church so he made a quick trip home to get a few pieces of
furniture he had stored here.
When he got here he had a box with him that had holes all around it
and was taped shut. In it I found 2 kittens. Of course I had to
pull them out and play with them, but this did not make for a happy
Silly. She hissed and growled and fussed so much we ended up putting
the kittens back in their box. Silly brooded about it the rest of
the afternoon and evening then all the next morning she kept
following me around everywhere and kept meowing at me. I wondered if
she was looking for those kittens and asking me about them.
My son's car isn't big enough to carry the furniture he came for and
two parishioners were kind enough to drive him up in their van. Now,
you gotta understand that E.J. and I have a unique relationship in
that we like to play gags on each other. When he got here he had
a gift for me and I had a present ready for him too. Neither of us
knew the other was planning to give a "present" to the other. We
just like to play gags on each other and it worked out like that.
He had bought the movie "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" for me
because he remembered how I hated that movie. He loved it as a kid
but, try as I might, I was unable to make myself sit through the
thing with him. So, he had found and bought it for me. (Do you
think it would be tacky for me to wrap it up and give it back to
him for a Christmas present?)
Now remember my son is a single minister so he isn't supposed to be
sexually active. Earlier in the week I had been to the doctor for
some tests and while standing at the nurses station waiting for her
to order the test, I noticed some brochures and one of the was for
"Muse." I asked if I could have it and mentioned it was my son's
name and I thought he might get a kick out of it. She said I could.
When he got to our place with his two parishioners, I handed him a
present: a pamphlet for Muse, some sort of treatment for men with
erectile difficulty. He was excited to see a treatment named after
him and blew it off as "so what" when he saw what it was. On the
other hand, the people with him had a good laugh.

Two new items were added to Renae's Room since the last newsletter
was mailed.
Tutorsville: An online educational bookstore sponsored by
Renae's Room. Don't let the word "educational" stop you from looking
for other books there. The search engine is designed to locate
lots 'n lots more than just educational materials. They're also
able to locate books that are out of print.
In the section with the cross-eyed pencil, I've added an area of
certificates, awards, diplomas, etc. This section is still small,
but I'll be adding more to it as time passes.

Only four new fonts to report this time but I think you'll like
them. I had a request for the dotted font that allows students
to get handwriting/printing practice. Blue Vinyl Fonts offer a
font fitting this description and has said I can offer some of
their fonts at Renae's Room. So, here's a big welcome to Blue
Vinyl Fonts as one of our font artists.
Holidays/Mother's Day:
